Food and Nutrition Security has been extensively researched by many scholars and yet still remains complex. This book presents a new dimension regarding the potential effect of stability on the 3 concepts of food availability, food access and food utilization in 2 differing communities. Nakapiripirit District lies in the Northern Karamoja sub-Region of Uganda commonly known for Issues of instability. Whereas Mityana District is located in the central region of Uganda. Furthermore, the research targeted mothers and their children below the age of 5 years who are more vulnerable to food and nutrition insecurity.

Cabrine Agnes Nankanja has been part of consultancy assignments for 5 years in the areas of socio feasibility, community health, resettlement action planning and socioe-conomic assessments. She has an MA in Rural Development, Makerere University, Kampala Uganda and a BSc. in Food Science & Technology, Makerere University, Kampala Uganda.
