The tomato growing areas are facing threat from several diseases of which bacterial wilt is the major one and causes extensive yield losses.Indiscriminate use of chemicals for the management of the disease may result in the development of resistant strains of pathogen as well as a residual effect on the produce.Hence, biological control of the disease is the only alternative to this problem due to its cost effectiveness and eco-friendly nature.
