The book entitled Biochemical and Nutritional studies on sulphur application in Chickpea grown under rainfed condition describe how to maximize seed yield and seed quality aspects by using three doses of sulphur (0, 15 & 30 kg S/ha) in Chickpea varieties. The quality seed played an important role in deciding the performance of the crop. The objective of this book can be achieved by chickpea varieties pertaining to their morphological, Biochemical, Nutritional and Enzymatic traits due to wide spectrum of it for betterment of human health of people residing in surrounding area of Chitrakoot. The experiment was conducted during Rabi Season 2013-14 & 2014-15 at Agriculture Farm, Nana Ji Deshmukh, New Agriculture Campus, M.G.C.G.V.V. Chitrakoot, Satna (M.P.) and Biochemical and other analysis was conducted in Biochemistry & Biotechnology Lab, Department of Crop Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, M.G.C.G.V.V, Chitrakoot, Satna (Madhya Pradesh). I hope that sulphur applicated variety developed will be useful for the farmers, researchers and extension workers. The information generated may be useful for further advanced research.

Dr Alka is working as RA in IIPR, Kanpur, India. She has completed M.Sc. in Biochemistry & awarded Ph.D Biochemistry in 2017 from MGCGVV., M.P. Dr. Alka has published many research papers & achieved many prestigious awards that included Young Scientist Award, Fellowship award for training of Young Scientist & Best Paper presentation award.
