Beschreibung

A genetically modified plant is a plant whose genetic formation has been modified by ways of the recombinant DNA technology. Plant transformation is an substantial research tool for manufacture of genetically modified cash crops. Many DNA-based methods, targeting simple transgenic integrated sequences, have been widely developed. The PCR protocols used for GMO detecting are based on the detection of the known gene, such as 35s promoter in the Cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV) and the Agrobacterium tumefaciens nopaline synthase (nos) terminator sequences, and in some statuses the reporter gene neomycinphosphotransferase (nptII).
