Beschreibung

Dogs and cats are the most beloved creatures among the pet animal species therefore, animal lovers are more anxious about their companion animal's health and husbandry techniques. Animal cancer incidence rate is increasing due to less rigorous managerial efforts, fewer animal health care facilities and economic constraints. The current study was planned to analyze the expression profiling of Hspb1 & Tp53 genes through RT-qPCR in seven different types of cancers in these two valued pet species in Pakistan. Secondly, characterization of the aforementioned genes was also performed to ascertain diseased associated mutations/SNP, which can served as diagnosis and prognosis markers for these malignancies. Thirdly, how these novel signature cancer associated mutations are associated with particular tumor type by population screening of 208 cats from different seven countries of the world. This book will make available the gene expression profiles and cancer associated mutations along with population screening data in relation to seven different types of cancer, which is a substantial addition to the existing information of animal genetic resource (AnGR) in Pakistan.
