Fruits are various group of plant foods that wonderful gift to the mankind. They are great source of vitamins, minerals, simple sugars, soluble dietary fiber, many phyto-nutrients, phytoestrogens, anti-inflammatory agents and anti-oxidants. For many years epidemiological studies have highlighted a strong negative correlation between fruit and vegetable intake and incidence of degenerative diseases such as numerous forms of cancer, cardiovascular diseases and other diseases including age-related degeneration. Kiwifruit contains numerous phytonutrients as well as well known vitamins and minerals that promote health. It contains very good levels of vitamin-A, vitamin-E, vitamin-K and flavonoid anti-oxidants such as beta-carotene, lutein and xanthin.
