Understanding Religious Ethics: An Exercise in Afrocentric Ethicalism takes into consideration ethical discourses in relation to African people. Africa as a continent has been cut in the web of moral complexities that continue to challenge her cherished cultures, morals and values. It has gotten to the extent at which most Africans seem to not know how to distinguish between what is right and what is wrong. In a number of issues raised in this book, the author tries to re-appraise these ethical problems occasioned by obnoxious western values incursion into African soil vis-a-vis the authentic African ethics and values and what exactly is the stand of the African people. The book maintains that Africans should go back to her authentic values and morals, to enable her build a strong African State; where peace, love, respect, self-esteem, and all that tend towards political, economic and social stability will exist. Its exercise on Jesus ethics in helping build the societies morals cannot be over-emphasized. The book will be of great help to all shades of interests: Philosophers, Ethicists, Religious Scientists, Sociologists, Anthropologists, Pastors, and Moral Instructors.

Samuel Chibuzo Nwankwo(Ph.D), is a Methodist clergy in the rank of a Presbyter. He hails from Ndianiche Arondizuogu in Okigwe L.G.A. of Imo State, Nigeria. He currently lectures at Methodist Theological Institute, Umuahia Abia State. His area of research is Religious Ethics, Feminism Ethics and Moral Philosophy. He has written many articles.
