Beschreibung
Kerstiens shows how biblical texts help to analyse the present, to uncover its violence and to motivate and guide its change. The issues involved are society, the economy, politics and the church. The faith which refers to the Jewish tradition and to Jesus shows itself as the Nevertheless of hope which does not give up because it trusts in the coming of the Kingdom of God. The commitment from faith and hope does not create the Kingdom of God, but it allows elements of it to be experienced: Life and dignity of all people, freedom and responsibility, peace for all people, shalom, which aims at the success of human life, human rights and the preservation of the world for future generations. This perspective determines the different texts, which have been created in relation to each situation: Sermons, essays, letters to the editor, picture meditations, demo speech. This book has been translated with Artificial Intelligence.
