Negative ethnicity or Tribalism if you may is an issue that forms a major part of Kenya's national dialogue. It is considered to be the root cause of many a problems that bedevil the nation. But 'where did the rain start beating us?' Is there a solution or an end in sight? In the Bible a notable example of ethnic animosity is what existed between Jews and Samaritans and this can be found expressed within the gospels. The parable of the Good Samaritan is more than just a story that encourages people to help those in need. When Jesus was answering the lawyer who asked "Who's my neighbor?" He was doing more than just describing who it is, he addressed the Jewish-Samaritan relationship.
