In the present book, the reasons, ramifications, and revivifications of trauma have been explored through the implementation of the Freudian augmented theory of Nachträglichkeit. The study has detailed the reasons for traumatic experiences and their subsequent repercussions on the lives of traumatised victims. Additionally, it has been explicated how traumatised victims resuscitate their harrowing past experiences in the wake of new distressing encounters. It has been suggested that more pertinent techniques for treating the traumatised victims can be explored in the future trauma studies keeping in mind the traumatic reasons, repercussions, and revivifications explored in the book.

Dr. Singh qualified his doctorate on Trauma Studies in 2018 from Lovely Professional University, India. Additionally, Dr. Singh is a visiting professor at Cardiff University and Brunel University, London. His interests include psychoanalysis proposed by Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan, Carl Gustav Jung, and Alfred W. Adler.
