Exposure to trauma during childhood can lead to significant impairments in several functional domains. These negative consequences are more prominent during adolescence as this is the critical developmental gap from being a child to an adult. Alternatively, not all children who are victims of childhood trauma experience similar negative consequences. Learn how to assist adolescents who are victims of childhood trauma develop enhanced adaptive functioning skills.
