Author meant for the readers to accompany him navigating the waves of the past, so that they could optimally help themselves in solving life dilemmas and the riddles of life. A solid philosophical and scientific basis is necessary to understand the book, and as Bloch would put it, while referring to the complexity of Hegels ideas - The one aiming to go to the sea must know the nautical knots. This book ought to be understood as a call for personal intellectual endeavor and curiosity, for readers of all generations, in order to penetrate the complex phenomenon of war and peace, a phenomenon which directly concerns every human being, and that will grow increasingly important for all people and nations today, and our children tomorrow.

Kajtez Z. Ilija, BA degree from the Military Aviation Academy and Faculty of Philosophy in Zadar, MA and PhD degrees from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade. Retired Colonel of Serbian Armed Forces, taught Philosophy and Sociology at the Military Academy. Full Professor at the Faculty of International Politics and Security in Belgrade.
