The cardinal political and social changes in Kyrgyzstan (a former Soviet republic in Central Asia) after gaining independence have had an impact on its education. Transformation of the education system entails rethinking the previous views and beliefs in this sphere, and opening doors to innovations at all levels of schooling and teacher preparation. The articles in this book highlight some of the major challenges facing English teachers and teacher trainers in the process of implementing modern approaches and methods in language education. The book contains academic information related to the English Teaching Methodology, which may interest undergraduate and graduate students. Moreover, each article offers well-elaborated learner-centered activities and materials that instructors and teacher trainers might consider to include into their programs.
Autorenporträt
Marina Pashinina, a philologist, teacher of the English language, graduated from Kyrgyz State University in 1978.She has worked at "Ala-Too"International University(Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) since 1999, teaching Advanced Grammar, ELT Methodology and The Art of Teaching at the Department of Philology and Intercultural Communications.
