Education plays an integral role in the socio- economic development of any country and primary education is one of its foundations. Good performance at all levels of the education system is therefore integral in the development of society, human nature and one''s potential. Despite this crucial role played by education in a country''s socio-economic development and in the welfare of individuals, there are a myriad of challenges facing the education sector. This book has been produced purposely for use as a guide by professionals charged with managing the education sector. Its production was inspired by the everyday challenges faced by teachers in their ever increasing responsibilities.

The author has taught in post-secondary college institutions since 2005. Holds a B. A. Degree in Sociology and Master of Philosophy Degree in Sociology from Moi University. Currently lectures in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology, Maseno University and also part-time lecturer Department of Sociology & Psychology, Moi University.
