What significance do emotions have for teaching and learning processes in the classroom? Empirical findings show that the emotions of both learners and teachers are related to successful lessons. The anthology therefore focuses on the emotions of teachers and students and deals with possible factors as well as the consequences of affective characteristics in school and teaching. It brings together theoretical, empirical and practical contributions on students' and teachers' emotions.
