Taghreed Jamal Al-deen is an Associate Research Fellow for the UNESCO Chair, Cultural Diversity and Social Justice at the Alfred Deakin Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation, Deakin University, Australia. She holds a PhD from Monash University and her doctoral research examined migrant Muslim mothers involvement in childrens education. She is currently working on a project looking at career aspirations of Australian young Muslim women in higher education, and her research interests include inequality in education, class and migration, gender in Islam, and ethnic and religious diversity.
