This humble work serves as a periscope to the dimension of reactions and dispositions displayed during the cause of teaching and learning of Islamic Studies in Nigerian schools. Specifically, the book researched into the attitudes towards Arabic which constitutes an important aspect of Islamic Studies. Similarly, other factors affecting teaching-leaning process are also dealt with in the book. The authors presented empirical reports in order to corroborate the views and positions held in the book. Broadly speaking, the book is an additional compendium to the existing literatures on principles and practice of instruction. It is however believed that the stakeholders in education in general and in Islamic education in particular would find it worthwhile.

Dr. Uthman AbdulRahman Ajidagba (NCE, BA (Ed), M.Ed, PGDPA, Ph.D) is a seniorlecturer in Department of Arts Education, Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Hisareas of research interest include religious studies education, general education, curriculumstudies, primary education studies and Arabic in Islamic Studies.
