The book explores the treatment of stroke using indigenous knowledge systems ,which is knowledge passed on from one generation to the other. It traces back the use and effectiveness of using traditional medicinal plants in treating complicated ailments such as stroke which have been associated with witchcraft by most African people. The text however acknowledges the shortcomings of traditional medicinal and therefore urge that if traditional medicines and modern medicines are used both surely remarkable results will be achieved in curing stroke.
Autorenporträt
Alister T. Chipanje completed and graduated the Midlands State University where he did a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in History. His area of interest in research include Indigenous knowledge system, Migration and Displacements. In this book the author reveled and explore various traditional methods used in treating ailments such as stroke.
