The idea of writing this book emerged as a result of my prolonged thirst and passion for contemporary environmental issues and housing studies in developing countries, including Nigeria. The approach in this book has been able to robustly treat the subject therein for students in colleges and polytechnics and those seeking for knowledge. The content of the book will be of interest to diploma students and other professionals in Urban & Regional Planning Architecture and other relevant fields.

The Author is a Town Planner by Profession. He has special passion for contemporary environmental issues. He is currently a Post Graduate Diploma student in Urban & Regional Planning at the Federal University of Technology, Akure Ondo State Nigeria. He is also an Instructor at Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa Ogun State, Nigeria.
