Beschreibung
The contributors to this volume explore the future of the European Union's Cohesion Policy, one of the main pillars of the EU budget. The 12 stand-alone chapters written by 15 leading experts are structured around four main topics: the policy's fundamental rationales in a changing environment, what is already known and gaps in knowledge regarding the economic impacts of the policy since its inception 30 years ago, the study of factors that enable or stifle the effectiveness of the policy, and, finally, ways to enhance the performance and credible evaluations of the policy.
