Beschreibung
This article provides the necessary definitions and formalism for comprehension of the key terms and the main theoretical results in collective decision making. It presents and reviews the essential theorems in the field of social choice theory and summarizes the most important literature on the topic of manipulation of voting procedures, a subfield of social choice theory. Furthermore the theoretical findings are applied to a two agent, two good pure exchange economy. Parameterized functions are introduced to examine possible optimality of manipulation.
