Cross - border acquisitions have become increasingly more popular in the last two decades around the world. Although cross - border acquisitions have been occurring more and more relative to domestic acquisitions, our understanding of the bidders wealth effect of such deals is still limited, especially in the Netherlands. Therefore, this research will contribute in enhancing our knowledge of the wealth effect for Dutch acquiring shareholders.

Upon completing the foundation year in Business Economics at the University of Aruba, I ventured to Holland to attend the International Business & Management Studies at the Hague University.
