Maintaining the secrecy of information is of great concern today. Steganography is the art and science that hides the information in an appropriate cover carrier like image, text, audio and video media.The advantage of steganography as compared to cryptography is that the hidden message does not draw attention towards itself. The security of the classical steganography system relies on the secrecy of the encoding system. However the steganography system may be defeated if and only if the encoding algorithm may be known. Because of their invasive nature, steganography system leads to detectable traces within a medium characteristic.
