Investigations on the causes of time budget overruns or delays during internal audit assignments at OK Zimbabwe Limited were done.The author was practically involved with the organisation for one year during an internship and managed to pick out one of the problems being faced by the department of time budget overruns. The author managed to gather the root causes as well as possible remedies that could minimize the effects of budget overruns.

Sharai Mashanda was born In Zimbabwe. She went to University at Midlands State University in Gweru for four years and studied B.com in Accounting Honours. After Graduation ,she relocated to South Africa and furthered her studies with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) at the same time working at a Hotel as Assistant Accountant.
