The compression of medical images is necessary for retaining storage space. Various medical images like CT, MRI are to be stored and at any time, it has to be restored to refer. All the information in those images should not be discarded or modified. Hence, it is essential to develop image compression algorithms to avoid these adverse effects. This book explores the possible techniques to achieve it.
