Image registration has been used extensively in remote sensing for alignment of multi view images, environmental monitoring, change detection, weather forecasting, creating superresolution images, integrating information into geographic information systems(GIS),in medicine for combining computer tomography (CT),MRI etc images to obtain more complete information about the patient, monitoring tumor growth, treatment verification, comparison of the patients data with anatomical atlases, in cartography for map updating and in computer vision for target localization and automatic quality control.

Dr. Mehfuza Holia received B.E (Electronics) from Sardar Patel University in 2001, M.E(Electtronics & Communication Engineering) from Dharmsinh Desai deemed university, in2008 and Ph.D (Electronics & Communication Engineering) from Sardar Patel University in2013. She has a teaching and research experience of over 15 years.
