Mat foundation is a crucial sub-structure which bears the massive loads from the super-structure. So, the authentic analysis results of the internal forces of such structure is necessary for the design. The book described the analysis techniques with three different engineering commercial softwares and compared the results with Conventional method of analysing mat foundation. The design example of mat foundation is also mentioned using the verified software. In addition, the effects of few parameters on the behaviour of mat foundation was discussed.

Saima Ali is continuing her PhD in Civil Engineering at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. Previously, she completed her MSc and BSc in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She was working as an Assistant Professor in Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology.
