This book addresses six issues: 1) What is the significance of migration and remittance to economic development; 2) What is the policy issue for temporary labor migration under the GATS Mode 4 commitment; 3) Why is remittance a stable income source for developing countries, including Nepal; 4) What is the impact of migrants remittance on poverty and inequality in Nepal; 5) What is the probability of return migrants becoming entrepreneurs in Nepal; and 6) How are return entrepreneurs contributing to create jobs and reduce poverty in the long-run?

Dr.Devkota is an Economics' lecturer and researcher in Nagoya since April 2015. He received Ph.D. in International Development from Nagoya University in March 2015. He received M.A. in Economics from Central Department of Economics, Tribhuvan University, in 2005. His research areas include Migration, Remittances, Poverty, and Entrepreneurship.
