This monograph is a manual for students and academicians who are interested in understanding, applying and developing heuristics. The monograph provides readers with steps to be followed in developing and implementing a hybrid TSP heuristic research framework. The implementation process involves conducting heuristic experiments and classification, developing a novel data analysis tool and hybrid metaheuristic and statistically comparing heuristic performances to determine the best heuristic and its features. It also provides surveys on the TSP implemented heuristics and variants and investigation frameworks applied. The monograph gives a standard scheme and its classifying templates and a Hybrid Erosion And Deposition (HEAD) metaheuristic. The monograph also guides readers in understanding the processes involved in analysing heuristics data for comparison. Therefore, the monograph makes available the vital information hindering the implementation of heuristic research frameworks.

Dr Stanley Murairwa (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Business Sciences department in the College of Business, Peace, Leadership and Governance at Africa University in Zimbabwe. His areas of research interest includes, Heuristics, Operations and Statistics. His books appear in Research Foundation, Lambert and Media Essentials.
