Given the great impact on a company's image and economic situation, any event that personally affects an individual's or businesses' life requires special treatment. Planning, organising, and managing such special events requires preparation, experience, and leadership abilities. Furthermore, it is required to have adequate facilities, proper means, and skilled professionals, amongst other things. Due to these reasons and the many benefits of the industry, the hospitality business has boomed and remained a strong force in the business world. Simultaneously, the success of the event planning industry relies heavily on the marketing industry. Additionally, it finds support on new interactive technologies to advertise and actively involve the client in customising their own special event. Throughout this work the reader will find reviews, and guidelines for planning and organising events, all drawn from works from different authors, some through long personal conversations, and others, from the author's research, got from own experience and conclusions.
