The model has been developed to manage the solid waste of urbanizing area at local level.This study follows all basic principles. Waste Collection Route has been optimized and the project was found financially feasible.The study can be applicable to other similar areas in the world as this case study in Katunje, Bhaktapur( Nepal).Primary and Secondary data were collected for the study.The majority of the waste was found as organic matters. Classification of wastes, perception of public to waste, willingness to pay against pollution also have been studied in this book.

Rajan Dhungel: Born in Bhaktapur, Nepal. After the completion of Bachelor in Civil Engineering from Tribhuwan University in 2004, he did his Masters in Engineering in Technology and Innovation Management from the same university. Till date, he has worked as Project Manager/Project Engineer for various projects mostly in construction business.
