If any, there may be very few books on emotional intelligence by Nigerian authors. This has made it difficult for a great number of people in Nigeria to appreciate the significance of the science of emotional intelligence in everyday life. To this end, this book which is divided into eleven chapters seeks to advance the original ideas underlying the concept, with some explanations about its models and measures. A major aim of the book is an attempt to purge students, researchers and the reading public of confusion, ambiguities, and misinformation frequently associated with emotional intelligence and its related constructs.
