Corporate environmental disclosures are business response to the concept of sustainable development. Environmental disclosures are rapidly emerging an important dimension of corporate voluntary reporting practices. Today corporate sector has accepted that concern for the environment results many benefits in the form of legal and reputation risk management, brand enhancement, marketing, improving public image, meeting demand of green products and adding value to corporate report. This book presents a comparative analysis of environmental reporting practices of top Indian and Global Companies. Analysis is based upon Ninety nine Indian Companies which have been selected from the list of Top 500 Indian companies which are actually disclosing Environment information.Comparison of Indian environmental reporting practices is analysed with respect to Top fifty Global companies selected on the basis of Dow Jones Sustainability Index Rating.
