This Book will help the foreign investors who want to establish their business in India and have an idea about India's business environment and policies.Chapter one and two presents overview of foreign direct investment in India and review of some of the selected research papers on role and impact of FDI in host country development, employment creation and export growth.Chapter three analyses the policies and initiatives taken by the state government in attracting foreign direct investment in their states.Chapter 4 studies the policies, opportunities, challenges and growth of main and thrust sectors of India.Chapter 5 studies the growth pattern of Madhya Pradesh as a state. It also focuses on the impact and role of FDI on the export,import and State gross domestic production. The chapter further analyzes the incentives provided by the state government in attracting FDI. Chapter six is related with the suggestions which are given to the state government for formulating the policies and attracting FDI.
