With the ever-increasing volume of traffic and goods, freight logistics companies face a huge challenge in how to balance the need for fast, efficient and sustainable transport with the negative impacts of congestion and pollution. Logistics Operators are an integral part of the global supply chain but people rarely know about the different services they provide. Logistics operators own trucks to pick up freight, and own track, rail cars and locomotives to move freight across long distances on land. They own and operate aircraft or ships to move large cargoes through the air and across the ocean, to other continents. Logistics operators, through a constant source of information and data, strive to ensure that every transport process is performed with maximum level of service, high customer satisfaction and minimum carrier costs.
