This handbook tried to capture of the debate related to the impact of trade on environment through a complete literature review, with the aim to observe how different could be the impact based on social, political and economic norms. The book will help to enhance understanding the relationship and prescribe appropriate policies on the development dimension. Further, the book intends to understand a complete trade-related measures that should seek to strengthen the implementation of the existing international legal regimes.

Dr. Devleena Majumdar is an Assistant Professor of Economics at St. Xavier's University Kolkata. She has been a research fellow at Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta. Her research interest mainly includes resource & energy economics, international trade, labor economics.
