Beschreibung
This work shows and evaluates the complex structure of legal liabilities and insurance coverage for aircraft operators and airlines. It reveals how and where legal liability standards for air traffic are regulated, how they have evolved over the past decades and which limits are valid in case of loss or damage. This will comprise liability limits for passengers, cargo and third parties. Moreover, it is laid out how and to which extent aircraft operators are obliged to provide adequate insurance coverage in order to protect themselves and the involving parties financially against such damages, especially in regards to passengers and third parties.
