Beschreibung
The book discusses globalization, its key drivers, its impact and the role of key actors on the process of globalization. Further, the book elaborates on internationalization of enterprises which is prompted by globalization. In depth discussions then focuses on exporting as it is a popular mode of internationalization. Exporting is popular for a variety of reasons. For instance, exporting permits enterprises to learn from competition with minimum resource commitment and also provides countries with foreign currency to pay for import requirements for growth. This book discusses and tests the factors that constrain exporting in a landlocked country-Lesotho. The book showed that exporting of Lesotho Based Manufacturing Enterprises is constrained by financial factors but this does not suggest that other factors identified in literature are not export constraints but that they are not constrain with regard to Lesotho Based Manufacturing Enterprises. The perception of managers towards export constrains were also found to vary on the bases of certain enterprise characteristics. Recommendations on how enterprises can be assisted to overcome the export constraints have also been discussed.
