Technology is today an inevitability in business. Experts have clearly noted that to sustain business at this fast-changing business environment then technologies like blockchain, Internet of things, Big data analytics and automation have to come into play. Both large and medium businesses today are finding the use of modern technology to streamline operations key. Research has shown that the use of technology in 2019 will see an increase of 22 percent in e-commerce sales and 58 percent in mobile traffic with smart devices accounting for over half of online transactions. The studys main objective was to explore the impact of emerging technology on operational efficiency in Kenyan Financial services industry. The specific objectives were: to establish the emerging technologies in the financial services Industry in Kenya, to find out the relationship between emerging technologies and operational efficiency in the financial services industry of Kenya, to find out challenges in using emerging technologies within the financial services industry of Kenya and to find out opportunities in using emerging technologies within the financial services industry of Kenya.
