The study is a contribution to the works in behavioural finance which understands the relationships between social, economic and psychological factors that influence individual investors investment process. The study is an empirical work conducted to understand the demographic influence of investment decisions with respect to investment alternatives in a given defined financial economic environment.

Prof. (Dr.) Saurabh Agarwal is Professor of Accounting and Finance, Indian Institute of Finance. He studied at Delhi School of Economics; Faculty of Management Studies; Shri Ram College of Commerce (University of Delhi) and Modern School. Dr. Agarwal has published articles in a number of indexed/peer reviewed journals.
