This book provides basic knowledge of the mathematical tools use in economic theories. Major contents of this book arise from my lectures given while teaching Mathematical Economics to the Undergraduate and postgraduate students of economics at the department of economics, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Students over the years have used the material the book contains and the questions they have solved. I would like to thank my colleagues and students for their helpful inputs at various stages of the preparation of this book. Md.Abdus Salam received his Ph.D.in Economics from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. At present, Dr.Salam is teaching Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate Students as well as guiding research in the Department of Economics, A.M.U., Aligarh.His current areas of interest are Mathematical Economics, Environmental Economics and International Trade.
