The present book tries to combine the convenience of the linguistic analysis with the general range of literary analysis. It focuses on the more popular and relevant concepts to do with linguistics and literature.It has also introduced a survey with linguistics including several basic theoretical notions, definitions, background information of the most important (concerning this book) linguistic branches, poetry, selective poetic devices, the principal information about selective English and Arabic poets and poems concerning this book.

Israa Rashed Mahdi Eltaif Al-kubaisy, Iraqi researcher, academic and teacher. She has written and published many researches in linguistics, literature and comparative studies and wrote several books. She has achieved many prizes, awards and certificates of appreciation. She participated in many local and international conferences.
