Today, the world believes in a global village where no one should be segregated on the basis of caste, colour, creed, a world that can be built not through confrontation but consensus, from confusion to clarity. The world also believes that this can be accomplished only through education and people coming to know about those living in different parts of the world who become the scapegoats just because they are different. Many programmes and events take place across the globe to remove these biases and prejudices. The Royal Commonwealth Society provides an opportunity for the young minds to share their opinions and have their voices heard by organising The Queens Commonwealth Essay Writing Competition. This book is an endeavour to begin with the premise of consensus and build a new world through the essays written by the students on the themes An Inclusive Commonwealth and A Commonwealth for Peace.

The author is an educator, whose passion is teaching. Being a product of a Catholic school, St. Mary's Convent, has been a boon and an added advantage to be a teacher. She is presently working as PGT English at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani. Her innovative methods and experimentation helped her in taking the hobby of Creative writing.
