This book discusses different definitions and interpretations of urban and rural communities worldwide and debates the novel notion of urbanization. Moreover, through an in deep discussion, the book capitalizes on the idea of assessing the urbanization level and its complexity through composite indices. This is followed by technical steps for advanced spatial analysis to achieve effective Geo-targeting. The case study is Egypt through 6 governorates and over 400 sub categorized administrations. This study could be considered as an attempt to combine analytical studies with advanced spatial studies to support location based decisions on all fields of interest. Dr. Mehaina is an Egyptian architect who acquires +15 years of academic knowledge and practical experience related to GIS/RS applications in multi disciplinary fields including regional/urban planning, heritage preservation, public health, oil and gas, climate change, and cartography. This book is a publication of his PhD. achieved in 2016.
