Beschreibung
What is intercultural about intercultural training? On the basis of theoretical debates about social knowledge, language, discourse and the critique of racism, the empirical study asks in what way racism-critical knowledge orders show up in the speech of police officers after participating in trainings to promote intercultural competence. It becomes clear that the intercultural in the trainings functions on the one hand as a cipher for migration-society relations, and on the other hand as a space of possibility for the (re)production and consolidation of knowledge relevant to the critique of racism.
