Contributing to feminist approaches to masculinities, this book examines men's contextual experiences of masculine identity. Drawing on new data which compares men as they move across and between public and domestic spaces, it explores the implications of this for the nature of contemporary masculinity.

VICTORIA ROBINSON Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Sheffield, UK. She is the author of Everyday Masculinities and Extreme Sport, co-author of Mundane Heterosexualities, and co-editor of Introducing Gender and Women's Studies. JENNY HOCKEY Emeritus Professor of Sociology at Sheffield University, UK. She is co-author of Mundane Heterosexualities and a former editor of the Journal of Gender Studies. Her research interests include ageing, the life course, death, bereavement and memorialisation.
