Beschreibung
We are facing an unprecedented rise of healthcare issues, spanning increasingly diverse patient needs, an ageing population and the impact of globalisation on disease. In this book-Design Innovation for Health and Medicine-a new approach to solving such problems is presented, which blurs the lines between design and healthcare. In the book we analyse a range of case studies to understand and inform how design is used in this context, and contribute a novel framework which outlines the key steps to implementing innovative solutions in health and medicine. The framework has emerged from a plethora of industry projects conducted by the authors over the past decade, in the hope of assisting designers, medical engineers, clinicians and researchers to shape the next era of healthcare.
