The content of the textbook is based on the current syllabus for Senior High Schools (SHS) Certificate Examinations. The textbook has explored all the key areas and trends with approaches in solving social studies questions as stated in the current syllabus. Social studies are the integrated study of the social sciences and humanities to promote civic competence. This textbook would enable students to learn more, discuss and analyse society. Society in this case includes the international, national and local community. This book covers most of the interdisciplinary subject, incorporating geography, literacy, history, government and current affairs, among other disciplines and it also teaches students how to be well-informed, critically thinking citizens of their own body politic. The book has been structured very well to equip students with facts based on the current syllabus to achieve high marks in their final examination.
