This study on the Family Role in the Management of the Child with Autism: A socio-cultural perspective in the Accra Metropolis will throw more light for researchers and readers on the burden on family caring for a child with autism. Some training centres for children with autism are provided in the study. Societal beliefs and attitudes must change through constant sensitization and awareness creation. An inclusive society is important for every child to grow and become his/her best regardless of their development trajectory.

Nana Nyama Danso holds a Master of Philosophy in Development studies from the University for Development Studies, Ghana. Her thesis focused on family role in the management of a child with autism. She believes in an inclusive society where every one is able to lead their own change and development. She is a Christian and stays in Accra, Ghana.
