The Chinese, Indian and Filipino migrant health workers are special kind of migrants who form part of the growing majority of health workers in New Zealand. This work explored their migration and employment experiences,and their roles and motivations of working in the health sector in New Zealand. Also sought in this book are relevant information on the needs of and issues affecting these migrant health workers and their coping responses that helped increase their opportunities to achieve their potential in the New Zealand context. Consequently, input on how the participants think other migrants could be best helped in relation to their experiences are also sought. Any migrant health worker or person working with these migrants will find this work inspirational and/or with relative importance. Understanding multi-cultural migrant workers means embracing mutual social development.

Jocelyn Toclo is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Masters of Science in Public Management and in Social Practice. She worked as human resource management officer, senior support service officer and regional coordinator for community development overseas. She now works in holistic health and social work settings in New Zealand.
